Young Professionals of the Chinese Psychological Society

The Working Committee on Young Professionals is an organizational body established to address the needs and activities related to young adults. Initially known as the Graduate Student Working Committee, it underwent a name change in February 2010 and was formally reestablished as the Young Professional Working Committee in May 2010.

The primary objective of the committee is to provide a platform for young psychologists, foster exchanges and cooperation, and promote professional development and academic standardization.

Key goals and activities:
1. Organizing Academic Exchanges: The committee actively encourages young psychologists to participate in academic exchanges organized by the CPS. It hosts academic exchange events for young professionals in the field of psychology, creating opportunities for discussions on the development, research, and application of psychology at both national and international levels.
2. Promoting Professional Development: The committee conducts training sessions and lectures on psychological theories and technical knowledge to enhance the research and application service capabilities of young psychologists. It aims to elevate the societal influence of psychology.
3. Encouraging Interaction and Cooperation: The committee creates and promotes platforms for interaction and collaboration among young psychologists in research projects and applied service practices. It focuses on building opportunities for mutual understanding and cooperation, facilitating exchanges and transfer activities among staff, graduate students, and undergraduates.
4. Strengthening Academic Norms: The committee dedicates efforts to reinforce education and leadership among young psychologists regarding academic norms. It cultivates a strong sense of scientific research morals and ethics among young scholars.

Special programs initiated by the Committee include the “Training Course on Capacity Building for Young Scholars of the Chinese Psychological Society” and the “National Psychology Academic Conference Master and Doctoral Forum and Outstanding Postgraduate Thesis Award Selection.”
