the Teaching of Psychology of the Chinese Psychological Society

The Working Committee on the Teaching of Psychology was established in 1994, with Professor Huang Xiting from Southwest University as the founding director. The committee comprises 50 members from 49 universities and research institutes across 26 provinces and municipalities, gathering experts with extensive teaching and management experiences within the national psychology teaching structure.

The committee’s primary objectives include fostering the exchange of teaching management experiences, sharing teaching practices, and liaising with key leaders and officials responsible for teaching in psychology units. It collaborates with the Psychology Teaching Guidance Committee of the Ministry of Education of China to develop industry norms, indicators, and evaluation systems, and supports the evaluation of academic disciplines and the construction of degree programs.

Key activities of the committee encompass:
1. Conduct annual meetings for in-depth discussions on various issues related to psychology teaching.
2. Collaborating with the Committee on Teaching Guidelines to conduct training courses for teachers of undergraduate and postgraduate core courses, enhancing the capabilities of frontline teaching staff in psychology across China.
3. Organizing discussions on the construction of core subject systems for undergraduate and postgraduate training in psychology, teaching reform, teaching material development, quality course construction, and the establishment of the Psychology MOOC course alliance.
4. Facilitating discussions on reward programs for cultivating high-level talents in psychology.
