Psychological Services of the Chinese Psychological Society

The Working Committee on Psychological Services, established in July 2018, was prepared and approved by the Executive Council in June 2017. It comprises psychologists from across the country voluntarily engaged in psychological service-related work.

The purpose of the Working Committee on Psychological Service Institutions is to proactively respond to the calls of the Party and the State, utilizing the professional and directional advantages of psychology to integrate resources and support the government in implementing comprehensive psychological service initiatives.

The primary business scope includes guiding the standardized development of psychological services, disseminating psychological knowledge, establishing industry standards, regulating psychological services, strengthening the construction of the psychological service system, and conducting post-employment education. From September 2017 to April 2018, the committee was appointed by the Health Commission to conduct a comprehensive survey on the current status of the development of national psychological service institutions in China. The findings of this survey informed subsequent work and provided valuable reference points.

The primary responsibilities of the Working Committee on Psychological Services include:
1. Host an annual seminar on the developmental model of psychological service institutions, as well as seminars and forums on pertinent psychological topics as required.
2. Establish an information platform for psychological services, compiling and disseminating the latest advancements and information on psychological services domestically and internationally, and conduct nationwide surveys and research on the status of psychological service organizations.
3. Coordinate with psychological service agencies across the country to conduct awareness campaigns on psychological science for various groups and encourage the involvement of psychological service agencies in social welfare activities.
4. Collaborate with relevant organizations to formulate industry standards, norms, entry mechanisms, evaluation criteria, supervision mechanisms, etc., for psychological service organizations.
5. Develop a collaborative system among psychological service organizations, a self-regulatory assessment and supervision system, an academic support system, and a post-service education system.
